Inspired By: All Blue Everything

Shana tova and a happy birthday to the queen, Beyonce that is.

Another productive day for this girl. I woke up at 7:05 a.m., fired up my keurig, made some caramel vanilla coffee, survived my first college 8 a.m., went to Spanish class, came home, went for a run, did some abs and arms, ate some eggs, took a shower, cried over how expensive my books for school are, took a nap and now I'm here. Extensive, I know.

This whole classes thing- not really working out for me. This whole 8 a.m. class thing- not really ever gonna work out for me.  But, on the plus side, I'm introducing another instafamous hashtag: #8amchronicles, which will consist of heinous morning selfies of my friend Sam and I on our way to class as walking zombies.

Below, as you can see, I was feeling very blue on this day.  Not actually sad, don't worry, just felt like pairing together every blue article of clothing I could find. Cue the chambray shirt, patterned skirt and navy Superga sneakers. Just had me singing, "I'm blue da ba dee da ba die, if I was green I would die," ya know?

I could really go for some apples and honey right about now. #Mandyreadyforwork.

Inspired By: Army Pants and Flip Flops

I'm bored. I was a little too productive today, before noon I might add, so I got nervous.  Having early classes sucks for the most part, OK the whole part, but you also just have so much time for activities throughout the rest of the day. (Besides my Mondays- 8 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. with no break, but like, who's keeping track, right?)

I got up, went to class in my workout gear, learned about plants, went to my Spanish advisor, paid a visit to the study abroad office, did some Bar Method in my cubicle of a bedroom and now I'm here.

The below work outfit was inspired by Cady Heron. She wore army pants and flip flops, so I did too. Kidding! These aren't army pants! They're cool slouchy boyfriend cargos; there's a real difference.  And those are for sure not flip flops, but instead my Zara staple shoes, duh.

Any ideas for what I should do with the rest of my day?

Inspired By: Romper Part II

HAAAAAY there. I feel like I'm always apologizing for being absent, but, like, you can't complain since I've been more present than ever on my blog this summer.  Just getting situated into school and shit, yano?

I return with more romper wisdom and some wine in my cup.  Blush wine to be exact.  Anyway, I'm back, bitches.

This romper is like super cool because it fools everyone. Like, don't you think I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath my tank romper? First of all, ew, why would I do that? But secondly, fooled ya!

Sidenote on the brogues: some lady stopped me to ask me what designer my oxfords were, as in she thought they were some fancy Christian Louboutin shoes. The look of awe on her face when I informed her I bought them at Urban Outfitters was quite satisfying. Bargain hunting faaa lyfe!

So, I'm back at school, my favorite place in the world, but classes start tomorrow. Wakeup call at 8:30, wanna join me for a cup of coffee from my keurig? If so, hmu.

Romper: I don't know because the tag is in illegible cursive handwriting, Shoes: Urban Outfitters

Inspired By: Mixing Prints Part II

I'm really looking forward to Miley's sky high spiked hair tonight at the VMAs! Wait, no I'm not. Because I miss the Hannah Montana Miley and those precious locks. Ugh ugh ugh. Not gonna lie, because I trust you guys, I cried when she cut off her bun.

Sidenote: I'm having a hard time finding wifi in my house at the moment, so I thought I'd share with you my location.  I am currently blogging in the dark at the top of my staircase. Talk about mood lighting.

Anywho, say shalom to mixing prints part deux! This outfit comes straight from my pre-internship Zara shopping spree. Looks like a dress, acts like a dress, but is really a shirt and skirt. I fooled you, right?

Well, I'm off to a surprise party, but I missed the surprise part. Oh well, just in time for food! Eat, blog, bar- remember?

Inspired By: The Tuck

Ever think about the word tuck? It's just a word I love. I love to tuck in my shirts, effortlessly, well seemingly effortlessly to you, or with much effort.  And by effortlessly I mean the "half in half out" tuck, as pictured below. I also love to tuck my little hips- at the Bar Method, of course! Jeez, you people are so scandalous.

Below is my signature tuck. I always find myself tucking in my shirts, I think it's real trendy.  But sometimes the full tuck is just too much, ya know? Sometimes the little stretch of the pants and toss the shirt in tuck is all you need.

My other favorite tuck? The "tuck your hips to the right, to the left, right left tuck tuck." Fuck, I love Bar Method too much.

Inspired By: Polka Dot Romper

Miss me? Ugh, sorry, I miss you too! I've been busy living at the Bar Method and answering five questions correctly on Jeopardy.  Genius? I think yes.

So, Kim and Kanye's baby is cute, right?

See this romper below? Well, this is my special romper. He's been with me through thick and thin, just like my stuffed platypus Timothy.  Whenever I am dazed and confused at what seems to be the nothingness that fills my closet, although I stare into a sea of unworn clothing, this romper saves the day.  He's just easy, ya know? Not in a slutty way, though.

Ever think about rompers? I mean, like, really think about their role in society? They are just the easiest thing to throw on because they are shorts and a shirt combined! To quote my favorite Chelsea Lately roundtable punnyman Ross Matthews, that shit is bonkers cray cray.

Inspired By: Apples and iPhones

I finally did it! Finally did what, Pretty Bird? Is probably what you're asking yourself at this very moment.  And to that I respond with, I finally got myself an iPhone 5. It was about time. I mean, a girl could only endure a water damaged phone for so long, ya feel me?

Now I'm really overwhelmed with my cover options. Like, I thought I wouldn't have to deal with this ever again after finding the most wonderfully texturally pleasing Belkin case to ever live.  But now, to my dismay, the case comes in many more colors. So that's where I'm stuck. Purple with turquoise again? Perhaps purple on purple? Eek.

Now Mandy is ready for work with her iPhone 5. Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me.

Sidenote: I really wish iPhones could go caseless. Tell me that shit isn't sleek. Am I right, apple lovers?

Sorry for repeating these shorts. I swore I wouldn't repeat an outfit all summer.
